The Pickleball Academy of Southwest Florida, based out of East Naples Community Park and home to the US Open Pickleball Championship, is the premiere training academy for pickleball lessons for all ages and skill levels.

From beginner to advanced clinics, to private and semi-private lessons; including destination camps, team building programs and tournaments throughout the year.

At East Naples Community Park, the Academy offers 11 designated teaching courts, five of which are under sun cover, and numerous courts available for larger group programs. The stadium court has seating for 1200, perfect for tournaments and team building events.  We also operate the Academy out of Veterans Park.

Both facilities are taught by our pro staff and offers pickleball players private, semi-private, group lessons, clinics, skill camps, youth programs, team building and more! Lessons are custom designed to focus on the specific areas that you need help with to improve your game.

The Academy is open seven days a week.

60 Minute Private Lesson

  • Private Lesson $80 or purchase a 3-pack for $199
  • Semi Private Lesson (2 participants) $100 or purchase a 3-pack for $249
  • Private Group Lesson (3-4 participants) $120 or purchase a 3-pack for $300

90 Minute Private Lesson

  • Private Lesson $120 or purchase a 3-pack for $299
  • Semi Private Lesson (2 participants) $150 or purchase a 3-pack for $375
  • Private Group Lesson (3-4 people) $175 or purchase a 3-pack for $450

Group Lesson (3 or 4 participants)
Bring a group of 3 or 4 to drill. Each participant will choose a shot to work on with the group and pro. The pro will be very active during the clinic, and playing with the group.

Ryan Reader

Pickleball Academy of SWFL, Director of Operations

Ryan Reader is a IPTPA certified instructor and leads the Academy as the Director of Operations, coming from a background in collegiate tennis in the Eastern Oregon area. Before joining The Pickleball Academy of Southwest Florida, Ryan was teaching pickleball on the east coast of Florida and enjoying great success helping pickleball athletes accomplish their goals, while increasing and enhancing their pickleball court and tournament skills.

As a Team Engage sponsored athlete, Ryan proudly supports the pickleball community by participating in numerous pro exhibition matches and providing free clinics for our youth and newbies to the sport.

In his spare time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, Britton and their newborn son Zayn Ryan Reader.

Courtney Miles

IPTPA Certified Teaching Professional

Courtney Miles- Courtney is an IPTPA certified instructor. Courtney originally comes from a background in tennis, after playing tennis for twenty years decided to pick up a paddle to play competitive pickleball. Courtney has extensive knowledge in many sports, she uses that knowledge to relate different skills to sports athletes have played in the past.

Recently, Courtney earned a Gold medal in the Turkey Classic 5.0 19+ tournament. She continues to amass medals, however, her true passion lies in spreading her love for the game of pickleball to all she comes in contact with.

When Courtney is not on the court, she works diligently to grow and provide financial assistance to Collier County 4-H via the Collier County 4-H Association.

Sally Hudgins

IFTPA Certified Instructor

Sally Hudgins
Sally Hudgins is an IFTPA certified instructor and has been working in the pickleball field for many years as a player, instructor and ambassador. She enjoys teaching beginners through 3.5 level players. Breaking the skills down into specific layers while teaching and playing with her students makes her lessons fun and interactive. Lessons focus on effective serving and net play techniques, body position, ball placement, the short and long game with emphasis on third shots, and control.

Coach Wayne Clark
Originally from Houston, Texas, Wayne Clark is a career professional tennis instructor with over 25 years experience coaching players on all levels of the game. Coach Wayne was introduced to pickleball in 2010 and has now transitioned his skills and years of instructional experience to the sport.
